KNOWLEDGE IS POWER
It is our belief that everyone is born with the tools for their own happiness. Through happiness, we find success.
Many young men may not have nurturing environments to learn from or tap into, to learn to use these naturally given tools. We strive to bring in community and industry leaders from areas and fields that may be outside the purview of our youth. We implement not only Speaking engagements, but also various events and scenarios to put newly gained knowledge to use. Networking events where these young men can meet with others from different schools, areas, and backgrounds to expand their horizons.
Guest speakers, when we bring in guest speakers, we give a lot of thought to impact and effect. We want to ensure that we aren't just bringing in Athletes and CEO's but also a variety of happy career minded people. there are so many paths to choose from in life, it is our dream to give the of Chasing Dreams as expansive a map as possible.
LifeSkills are as important as any other skill set or learned knowledge. We bring in individuals to teach financial literacy, the power of building and maintaining good credit, how to set up to become a homeowner, and many other important life skills.
PROGRAMS
Monthly:
1: Guest speaker brought in to speak at area schools, as well as one speaker at a centralized location.
2: Community project initiative planning.
Quarterly:
1: We will host a food drop for an impoverished area and create an opportunity to engage young men in that area to assist.
2: Young men's networking event. This will give these young men a chance to mingle and meet peers from other areas of the region and enjoy refreshments, speakers and a professional atmosphere.
3: Fundraiser event to cover costs for programs and pool for scholarships.
Yearly:
1: Chasing Dreams Big Bash, to celebrate the hard work and motivate our young men. The young men in our program will be an intricate part of planning setup and sponsorship coordination.
2: community project. continual planning and research done by volunteers and the boys themselves will culminate each year for a large volunteer project to teach the importance of selflessness, humility, and giving back.
